Election Results (12/1/2002) President - Dan McKeown - 132 votes Public Relations - Donna Guillory - 128 votes Area Directors (2 positions) - Secretary - no nominations, so voting consisted of small blocks of votes (less than 10 each) for a variety of people. Write-in candidates declined to take the position, so the Board will split up the secretarial duties until the next election. |

These positions are up for election this year, per the By-Laws:

2 Area Directors (Cindy Bombaro and Mike Laferty)
The position of Secretary (Gail Bombaro) is up for a one-year fill-in, per a change to the By-Laws which gives the Treasurer a vote. Since Gail holds both positions, she was required to give one up, as a board member may only hold one voting position. This section of the printed copy has not been updated yet, but briefly, the elected voting members are there as representatives of the membership. The Treasurer, an appointed position, will have a vote as representative of the financial interests of the league. |

The election schedule is as follows: Nominations open October 15th - you may nominate someone by noting your nomination on the back of your match report sheet. Please include contact information for this person if possible, so the board may verify a) that the person accepts the nomination and b) that the person meets the qualifications for the position. Nominations close November 6th - match reports of the 5th and 6th are your last opportunity to nominate someone. The newsletter will include a list of who has already been nominated. Due to limited space, only the website is expected to show names of people who declined. Ballots will be distributed before/during the matches of November 12th & 13th. Captains will sign for ballots of any absent teammates. Ballots must be postmarked by Monday, November 25th - US Mail is the only way ballots will be accepted. Votes will be counted at the Mandatory Captains' Meeting on Sunday, December First. Below are the rest of the board positions and current holders of those positions: |
