Current example, we have tracked down and added the diagonal measurement for the dartboard, and online you will find a link to a pdf file with a very good diagram of how to apply all the measurements. The diagonal measurement should be used in all cases where you have a sloping floor, to produce a more accurate setup. |

C Division starts 8/31, A starts 9/1, and B starts 9/8 8/29/2004 - Any teams who did not send a representative to today's meeting should call Vickey Brown to arrange to get their team packets. Captains are responsible for reading the materials in the packet and sharing that knowledge with their players. Every captain and co-captain should read through the rules & regulations and the bylaws every season, and we recommend all players read at least the rules & regs for themselves. As was mentioned at the meeting, everyone should read the weekly newsletter (also known as the standings sheet) regularly. If you get your standings online, be sure to check this announcements column for the latest news and information - we really hate to take points away when people miss announcements about mandatory meetings and such! |

8/24/2004 - Notes from yesterday's board meeting: Congratulations to Justin Poulin on stepping forward to be our new Tournament Director. The board has been dividing up the duties of this position for some time now, and it will be a welcome change to have someone in that position. Our recently elected Secretary Vickey Brown was appointed as the new Treasurer, and since she cannot hold two voting positions, we need to announce the need for a new Secretary. Again, YOUR opportunity to represent your fellow dart shooters and help decide how the league is run... This fall's pre-season MANDATORY Captains' Meeting will be held at Champions in Biddeford at noon Sunday August 29th. They open at noon, so roll call and the official start of the meeting will be at 12:15. All are welcome, but each team *MUST* have at least *ONE* representative there to pick up the team packet (rules, schedules, match report sheets) and be prepared to pass along whatever league information is presented to the rest of their teammates. Failure to be present for opening or closing roll call will result in your team losing points before the season even starts!!! FYI, just a reminder that the Seeding Meeting (which is not mandatory) will be Wednesday the 25th, 6pm at Referees in OOB. Referees invites you to stay for a draw doubles shootout afterwards to hone your skills for the upcoming season... |

As our current Secretary is interested in that position, we would need a new Secretary if the board appoints her as Treasurer, so if you are interested in any of these three positions, please show up at the start of this board meeting to be interviewed. This is YOUR opportunity to represent your fellow dart shooters and help decide how the league is run. |
||

Ongoing Announcements |
||
| ONGOING: In accordance with Article 7, Section 4 of the By Laws, all board meetings begin with a 15 minute open forum, where league members may present any concerns, ideas, or other matters. After this time, the meeting may be closed at the discretion of the President. Board meetings are typically held the third Monday of the month, 7pm, at Champions in Biddeford. | ||
| ONGOING: Now you can add yourself to the SRDL Mailing List! The mailing list is not a substitute for reading the announcements that appear in your newsletter. Rather, it is used to notify and remind you of deadlines, board vacancies, league functions, and other darting news of local interest. Every message you receive will include instructions for removing yourself from the mailing list if you no longer wish to participate. Do this carefully, as you will never (ever, really!) be able to subscribe using that same address again - we don't control this process, it comes that way... | ||
