5/14/2002 - Here's the
scoop on this weekend's shootout after the Finals. First of all, the
finals starts at 2pm, as has been publicized on the website and the
newsletter for the past month. Since we don't know how long it will
take for all divisions to finish, the start time for the shootout is not
definite. Awards will be presented after the finals, along with the
yearly banquet, with signups for the shootout ongoing. There will be
a charge (to be determined) for non-league guests to eat at the banquet,
but those people may not shoot in the shootout - it is for league members
only. If you are not coming to the finals, be there by 5:30 so we
can start as soon as the awards are over...
FORMAT - The shootout will be a luck of the draw doubles Mixer, with Wednesday and Tuesday shooters being paired up together. If there are more Wednesday people than Tuesday, the B shooters with the lowest individual averages will be put in the Tuesday pool. We did this with much positive feedback following the fall finals. Games will be best of 3, consisting of 501 straight in - double out, Cricket, and corker's choice if a third game is necessary. ENTRY - It will cost $5 to play in the shootout, and only members in good standing from the Fall 2001 and Spring 2002 seasons may play. PRIZE MONEY - All entry fees will go into the pot, as well as $1000 contributed by the league. Payouts to be determined. |

| 5/14/2002 - Based on overwhelming response from A division players who submitted a team format survey, the A division will be going to a 4-person format this fall. Click here for complete survey results. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 5/14/2002 - Only five people responded to the league's request for interest in a formal summer league, so the idea has been tabled for next year. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
