| 1/22/2006 - A quick note from your Pres... The new league phone number will not be active until tomorrow - Cingular is protecting my interests by making sure I talk to a live person in order to activate the new phone. They don't care *quite* enough to have operators working on the weekends though... | |||
|
1/17/2006 - By request, here are the
remaining mandatory meeting details prior to the start of the
season, reprinted from the info sheet which you all agreed to
having read and understood when you submitted your rosters:
8. By player demand, the Seeding Meeting is MANDATORY*. This meeting will be Wednesday January 18th, 6pm at Referees in Old Orchard Beach. Information on the seeding process is found in Rules & Regs Article 3.9. The bar of the season is The Vacancy Pub in Old Orchard Beach. Board meetings and captains' meetings will be held there. The MANDATORY* Captains' Meeting will be there, Sunday January 22nd, at NOON. The pub is opening AT noon, just for us, so the roll call will take place a few minutes after that, not noon on the dot. Don't tempt fate by being late though!10. The Spring 2006 season will start January 24/25th. * Captains may designate a teammate as team representative if they are unable to attend. Points will be deducted for missing roll calls - don't start off in the negatives! |

Ongoing Announcements |
|||
| ONGOING: In accordance with Article 7, Section 4 of the By Laws, all board meetings begin with a 15 minute open forum, where league members may present any concerns, ideas, or other matters. After this time, the meeting may be closed at the discretion of the President. Board meetings are typically held the third Monday of the month, 7pm, at the Saco Eagles. | |||
| ONGOING: Now you can add yourself to the SRDL Mailing List! The mailing list is not a substitute for reading the announcements that appear in your newsletter. Rather, it is used to notify and remind you of deadlines, board vacancies, league functions, and other darting news of local interest. Every message you receive will include instructions for removing yourself from the mailing list if you no longer wish to participate. Do this carefully, as you will never (ever, really!) be able to subscribe using that same address again - we don't control this process, it comes that way... | |||
|
ONGOING: If you connect to the internet without current antivirus software and a firewall, you are opening your computer up to all the evils of the universe! Some helpful hints for those who need to be enlightened are on this page: Safe Computing |

Rescheduling due to inclement weather: There may be times when your team or your opponents may need to reschedule a match in the interests of safety. All decisions should be made between the two captains, but you cannot refuse to reschedule if the other team does not have enough players who can make it. If your team wishes to reschedule, please follow the procedure outlined in the rule below. Also, the home team should remember to notify your sponsor that you will not be there, as well as consult your sponsor in your plans to reschedule. If you cannot reach your Area Director in person, it would also be courteous of you to call another AD or notify your Statistician directly not to expect a call-in that night. Here is the rule: Section 2a.
Rescheduling due to inclement weather requires team Captains to contact one
another and set up a date before the following week of regular season play. |
